Azerbaijan's accession to the WTO is discussed

"20 normative and legal acts were adopted recently in connection with the process of Azerbaijan's accession to the World Trade Organization", stated the Minister of Economy Mr. Shahin Mustafayev at a meeting with the Chair of the Working Party on Azerbaijan's accession to the WTO, Ambassador Walter Werner.

The meeting focused on relations between Azerbaijan and the WTO. Stating that the legislation of Azerbaijan meets the WTO requirements, Mr. Mustafayev stressed the importance of awareness-raising activities.

Several years ago, Azerbaijan approved the Action Plan on harmonization of Azerbaijani legislation in accordance with the requirements of the World Trade Organization.

The Working Party on Azerbaijan's accession to the WTO monitors the implementation of this plan.
