The 16th meeting of the Working Group on Azerbaijan was held at the WTO Secretariat

On September 24-27, 2024 the 16th meeting of the Working Group on Azerbaijan's WTO membership was held in Geneva with the participation of the Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Minister of Economy, Chief Negotiator in Azerbaijan's WTO accession process Samad Bashirli . Discussions on the Working Group's draft report were held during the event. Representatives of WTO member countries expressed their opinions on relevant paragraphs of the document and their questions were answered.

During the visit, an informal multilateral meeting on agriculture was held within the framework of Azerbaijan's WTO accession process. The event provided information on the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years regarding state support for the agricultural sector and questions from representatives of member countries were answered.
